EL EXPLORADOR started life as a World War ll Air Sea Rescue vessel to recover downed pilots. In 1964 she was sold to a large real estate investor and famous restaurant owner from Southern California that converted her to his personal yacht that he owned until his passing in 2002. She was sold to a Southern California shipyard family that changed her previous design as a fishing yacht to one suited for traveling to Alaska. The refit for the Alaska trips was extensive with the addition of stabilizers to help with the ride comfort when underway at sea. In 2023 EL EXPLORADOR was sold to our company for the purpose of fun and adventure in Sea of Cortes.
